How to get started

If you are interested in trying out a lesson for you or your child you can click here to book your first lesson. If there are no times that work for you please contact Liam here to be put on a waiting list.

The first lesson is a chance to meet and see if both the student and teacher think it is a good fit. If you decide to continue with lessons you will receive an invoice for 4 lessons including the first lesson. Once the 4 lessons are completed you will be asked to pay for the remainder of the term if you wish to continue. Payments can made via e-transfer to liambrittenmusic@gmail.com or by cash or cheque.

If after the first lesson you decide not to continue you will not be charged.

If you are interested in occasional lessons, casual lesson spaces are available especially in the daytime. You can book using the the online scheduler here. You can book and pay for lesson individual this way.

At the first lesson please bring your instrument and a 3 ring binder. Students do not need to bring amps or cables if they play electric instruments as there are some in the studio.

Cancelation Policy

In the event that you cannot make a lesson you can cancel by calling or texting 9022108965 or emailing liambrittenmusic@gmail.com. 

If you cancel a lesson

• If you give over 24hrs of notice your account will be given a makeup credit. 

• If the cancellation is under 24hrs to the lesson no makeup will be offered and you will be charged for the lesson. In the event of an emergency or illness a makeup credit may still be offered at Liam’s discretion. 

• A Makeup credit expires at the end of term. You will be given a maximum of 3 makeup credits per term. To use a makeup credit go to https://calendly.com/liambrittenmusic. You will be able to choose lesson times when Liam is available. Book in your makeup lesson and it will be automatically added into Liam’s calendar. Liam can also book a makeup lesson for you during lesson time if you prefer. 

• It is the students/parents responsibility to make sure you use the makeup credits at a time when Liam is available. Availability for makeups is first come first serve so try to be on top of scheduling your makeups. The end of term is always busy so try not to leave at the last minute. 

If Liam cancels a lesson

• Your account will be credited the amount of the lesson. This can be used for a makeup lesson for the current term, used to pay for a lesson the following term, or refunded to you.

If you wish to stop lessons during a term

• Please give as much notice as you can so Liam can advertise and fill the lesson spot. 

• The minimum amount of notice is one week so if you wish to stop you will be charged for the next lesson and then the remaining amount will be refunded to you.

• If there is a medical reason why you need to stop (for example a broken wrist) lessons will be put on pause until you are able to return. The minimum amount of notice will not apply. Your account balance will carry into the next term or be refunded to you as needed. 

Storm Cancellations

• In the event that lessons are canceled due poor weather conditions Liam will make the call in the morning and notify all students. 

• Lessons will be offered online unless their is a power outage

• You can also choose to take a makeup credit instead of an online lesson

Terms - Fall (September - December) Winter (January - March) Spring (March - June) Summer (July - August) The specific dates follow the public school calendar and will be given to you at the start of each term.

Definitions:

Account - The amount you have paid or owe for lessons. 

Makeup Credit - The system Liam uses to keep track of student cancellations they will expire at the end of term
